Tour Overview
Kanazawa Port is the gateway to the sea in Kanazawa City.
Fishing boats belonging to Kanazawa Port lay alongside the port, and fresh seafood unloaded from the boats is immediately put up for auction that night.
Ishikawa Prefecture is one of the best in the country in terms of the variety of fish caught due to its peninsula jutting out into the Sea of Japan and its location between cold and warm currents.
The sight of snow crabs and sweet shrimp, synonymous with Kanazawa's gourmet food, as well as local seafood, unfamiliar to the rest of the country, being unloaded from the boats is a sight to behold.
In this experience, you will first see the fishermen at work on their return to Kanazawa Port, and then you will be handed the day's recommended seafood directly from the fishermen.
You will take the seafood with you on a stroll through the port town of Ohno to a local sushi restaurant.
Enjoy the fresh seafood that was swimming in the sea until a few hours ago.
Housho Sushi
Established in 1969. The restaurant is a former shipping agent of the Kitamae Ship, and has a quaint atmosphere that blends in with Ohno, a town that retains a strong port town flavor. It is a popular restaurant in Kanazawa.
For this experience, the fisherman selects the fish he recommends based on the day's catch.
Because they are skilled craftsmen, no matter what kind of seafood you bring in, they will prepare it in a way that suits the ingredients.
Whether it is sashimi, boiled fish, grilled fish, or cooked in a different way, it is the dish of the day.
Course Dinner includes: Appetizer, Sashimi, 2 special dishes, Nigiri-Sushi, Soup, and Dessert.
